CUP fever has hit the city's shops as Worcester Warriors fans snap up the last few shirts on sale.

The Sixways side's success over the past few months has led to a rush of supporters buying shirts, scarves and any other merchandise they can get their hands on.

Rick Knowles, managing director of Knowles of Worcester, Broad Street, said: "There's a new shirt coming out next season so we have been running our stock down and we haven't got much left.

"The success the club has had on the pitch over the past two or three months has given a big shot in the arm to the amount of people interested in wanting a Worcester Warriors product.

"They are one of the success stories and people want to be associated with the team."

Worcester take on Bath in the European Challenge Cup final at Kingsholm on Sunday and retail assistant Beth Reader, who works at the Warriors' club shop, said: "We have been inundated with fans keen to snap up shirts and any Warriors kit."
