Biker suffers critical injuries
A MOTORCYCLIST was critically injured yesterday in Worcestershire.

The rider, a man believed to be in his 30s, suffered critical head and chest injuries following a crash with a car on Hartlebury Road, Stourport-on-Severn, at around 6.40pm.

West Midlands Ambulance service received a number of emergency calls and an ambulance, an Incident support officer, a BASICS Doctor and the County Air Ambulance from Cosford were dispatched to the scene.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: "On arrival at the scene, crews found a motorcycle that had been in a significant collision with a car."

The rider was airlifted to Selly Oak Major Trauma Unit whilst receiving treatment from the BASICS Doctor who travelled onboard the aircraft to the hospital.

No other person was injured in the collision.
