Dryden starts rebuilding talks
WORCESTER City boss Richard Dryden has spoken to 10 players as he begins to build a squad for next season.
With only nine names on the St George's Lane club's retained list, Dryden is in the market for a whole host of players in time for pre-season training in July.
Top of his shopping list is likely to be a new defence with Chris Smith, Ryan Clarke and Rapinder Gill all set to leave the club.
He will also be hunting for several replacements in midfield following the departures of Nick Colley and Emeka Nwadike and a forward to fill the gap left by Adam Webster's departure.
Dryden said: "I have had talks with nine or 10 players and I am still in talks.
"People are hedging their bets hoping teams in a higher league will come in and make them offers.
"It's like a cattle market at the moment.
"I will bring in new players as soon as I can, but the better ones are weighing up their options."
