AN interim report into the crash landing of a BA jet captained by a Worcester pilot has indicated both engines had low fuel pressure.
The boeing 777 crash landed at Heathrow on Thursday, January 7. Captain Peter Burkill, aged 43, of King Stephen's Mount, St John's, Worcester was praised for the crash landing.
The report published yesterday stated evidence indicates both engines had low fuel pressure. The air accident investigation board believes the fuel was not at the right temperature.
It also said there was no evidence of aircraft or engine control system malfunction, a birdstrike, engine icing, or evidence of any electromagnetic interference.
